The MysticWarrior's pageAn ordinary man in an extraordinary world: Spiritulism and everyday life |
May 20 A long overdue blogDoing what I love For the last little while, my focus has been not on searching for a higher path, or following one. It has been for the most part selfish instead of selfless. To a point. I have stepped away so as to focus on some other things that I have either put off or left unfinished. I have spent time with my family, focused on my actual job and the most selfish of tasks, worked on getting my music out on the web. Does this in any way mean that I have fallen away from my journey? No, in fact these things are very important parts of my journey. I have since I was young had music in my life and always had the dream of having it recorded and out there for others to listen to. Now with how technology is I have that opportunity. It may have, if I had focussed more on music happened earlier, but I took the practical course and ensured that I had a job, was happy in my relationships with family and friends and put my want of music as a second to that. Now although it is still a second to family and work and friends, I have more freedom to creativly express myself. I have never believed that my purpose was soley to work my job, be married and be happy. But niether did I believe that it would be a life without my music filled instead of sharing my learned wisdoms. I have had to balance these things as they came and for the last while I have reconnected with the creative musical side instead of the side following an unmarked course and sharing my lessons. It is just as important to share your passions with others as it is to share knowledge, so I have been sharing my passion. Soon I hope to be able to proudly say that I had a song that touched someones life, and also say that someone was touched by my blog. Selfish yes but sometimes one needs to be a little selfish. In any case I have been doing what I love with music and my family, and have found the love in what I do at work and with my blogs. P.S. I preform as BONISH October 15 My SpaceOver the last few months I have been neglect on this site, as I have found it to be less than friendly to operate on at times. I have however been blogging on my my space page which can be found at http://www.myspace.com/mystilodicheart . On there is also a song which was written and recorded by Dark Pirate and the MysticWarrior. I am one of the vocalists and guitarists for this band, as well as co-writter of all the songs. They may not meet the peaceful warrior, or "mystic" type of outlook that some might expect, but it is honest expression from myself and Sean. Just as a note the song "3:30 Blues" was written by my good friend and recording artist Jack Harlan. For those that go I hope you enjoy the songs and the blogs on the other page. Once in a while I may still blog here but, just in case head over to myspace add me as a friend and leave a message that you are comming from here.
In Peace and Happiness

Mystilodicheart May 12 Nature's BalanceBefore I get to the meat of this blog I would first like to sned out my sincerest whishes and regrets to those who have recently lost friends and family in both Myanmar and as of last night China. Both are incredible catastrophe's of which we are unable to prevent and so we all must move on through this.
That being said I myself have to wonder if maybe these events aren't so random. Not that they were caused by govenrments or terrorists trying to make a point as you would see in the movies, but maybe mother nature just trying to keep the world in balance. With the exception of natural disasters man has been able to if not stop, at least make great strides to preventing many of the illnesses that have arisen throughout our time here on earth. Only twenty years ago AIDS was brought to light in main stream conversation, and although we haven't found out how to cure it, there are so many ways that we have to treat a person with it, that even though it is still a death sentance, the life expectancy of a person with it has increased greatly. the same can be said for most life ending illnesses out there. Cancer is no longer veiwewd as an automatic death sentance with all the treatments out there, although not 100% more and more people are saved daily from it than twenty years ago. Cystic Fibrosis (which my older brother does have) used to mean not only death but a life span of less than twenty years(In my brothers case it didn't show up untill he was 18). And now ten years after his transplant my brother who had less than 6 months to live is still healthy and has many years left. twenty years ago that would not have been. These are only a few examples of things were man has altered the course of life and changed the natural balance against natuer. We, as humans have the need to survive and save our own but in doing so what are we really changing? Every year a new more deadly strain of flu seems to arrive, or a new disease that didn't affect humans has made the jump from animals. Is this because of something we have done to the planet or rather nature just trying to thin out our population since we have no natural predators anymore? If we notice we are about to make an animal species extinct, we can actually bring that species back to a healthy number or kill it off. We haev the power that used to only be held by the natural balance, but who or what really keep us in check? As tragic as natural disasters are, could it be that it is just a natural thinning of our ever growing population? I once read that ever 2 seconds a person dies, but every one second a new baby is born. With a statistic like that we as humans possibly do need something other than other humans to slow down our groth and bring the number of people in the world down, other wise how long could we really survive? I do not wish to sound incensitive about these things, if I had lost my brother I would have been devestated and am thank-ful everyday that is is still around, but could we be doing to much to save those we love now and possibly stting the stage for another huge global natural disaster to thin out our population? Earthqukes, typhoons, hurricanes and torrnadoes seem to be getting more and more distructive and volcanoes around the world are starting to again errupt. I am not saying this is the end of the world comming but maybe just nature trying to restore some balance and ease the burden cause by mankind. Just something to think about In peace and happiness The MysticWarrior: Mystilodicheart April 25 Thoughts Time has once again, been my an ally and an enemy. While I made the choice to to pusue other options for my blogging since my old reliable computer is to slow to effectively use spaces live, time interfered with those plans. Just as I started to find a rythm that fit into my schedule, time opened up a little and I discovered "Facebook" I then invested my time and energy in finding old friends from school and linking my blog from myspace to it. Soon I was overwhelmed with applications, requests, and responses. My free time for blogging was soon eaten up with buying my friends with owned and building my castle in knighthood. Time as an ally as I found my friends. All to quickly though time reared it's enemy head that so often kept me from posting here when my old cpu was faster, and even blogging and resopnding to friends on my space and face book became memories of things I only do once in a while. What is the lesson? Value what time you have to do the things you enjoy, or want to do, but also appriciate the time that you may not be doing those things because everything we do is important and has it's own purpose. We just don't always know the reasons and may never find out.
Hoping you have enough time, and wishing you peace and happiness,

January 29 Just some quotesI just thought I would share some cold weather quotes... IT's cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey. Although this sounds a little dirty it is not. On the old sailing ships (not unlike those from Pirates of the Carribean movies) that carried cannons, the cannon balls would be stacked in a pyramid with little brass pyramids in between the balls to support them. When the weather got cold enough, the brass would contract, and the balls would fall off. Thusly the qoute. Three dog night Again taken from the older days (not as old as Sailing ships). When frontiersmen would travel on there dog sleds with their team and they would have to bed down for the night, sometimes it would be cold, so they would sleep right next to a dog. The colder the night, the more dogs kept closer to the body. Three was a pretty cold night....Although I have had a few one dog nights in the summer after a night of drinking when I was younger... It's ao cold my nipples are hard. Enough said. I think that's all I have any how keep warm
